Mo Poe Mo Fun Home Page

Welcome to our home for Mo Poe, Mo Fun!

This is our expanding study of Edgar Allen Poe beyond his works we have read in class. This is not my site or the school's site or Yo Mama's site--it is OUR SITE! This is where all of Mr. Sheil's American Lit classes can share and learn together!

Now is the time for you Poe scholars to step and be heard—and remember--just like in class everybody is respectful of everyone else's opinions! (Or I will beat you with a rubber hose!) When we are discussing work of literature there is often more than one meaning or the author wants it to be ambiguous. Our featured writer Poe was no different.

On the following pages, you will see there is a Poe "room" that needs decorating. Simply hit the EDIT button above and go to work! The directions for every activity are in black. We will all write in normal script to keep things separate. While you are decorating, check the widgets for video and audio about Poe.

Also, see links to some different sites about Poe and his influence. The six works of Poe included are three short stories The Tell-Tale Heart, The Fall of the House of Usher and The Cask of Amontillado. Also, we are looking at three Poe poems The Raven, Lenore and The City in the Sea. Also, see the resource and links page for more information.

And as they say on ‘the Block’...Mo Poe, Mo Fun (OK, maybe that is muttered in libraries.)
